Never heard of them before.
I just watched their "Convert MS Access into Web Apps" video and am quite underwhelmed. - They're not converting anything in the video but just completely rebuilding it manually based on an Excel data exported from Access.

Please be careful. Since that link leads to a commercially advertised site, it impinges on the rules regarding unpaid advertising.

As long as you leave this in the form of a question and do not further push on the product, it sits on the border between a legit question and a subtle bit of product placement. Further pushes of the product without getting some member feedback ABSOLUTELY WOULD push this over the edge and I or one of the other mods would have to remove the entire thread.

Agreed. This line suggests something other than a real "porting" of an application.
"The m-Power Development Platform brings your Access databases to the web using a simple and secure method. m-Power easily converts them into database tables, and then lets you build any type of application over the top. "

Plus the part of the line that states, "m-Power easily converts them into database tables" hints at a lack of candor about what they are actually doing. Access tables already are "database tables". Nothing to "convert" there.

Not enough to entice me to look deeper.

I understand, but how can you list a product without actually listing it?
That seems like a really excessive concern
Anyway, if you think it's appropriate to edit the post to "..does not advertise product.." please tell me how and I'll follow the instructions

As you can see, we are getting a few responses - mostly in the slightly negative direction. Just don't try to act like a salesman for the product. As I said earlier, this is a fringe issue and so far nobody has crossed the line into outright marketing. So - particularly with the criticisms already on board, perhaps it would be enough to simply let the question run its course. In which case we have a saying, originating from a sports environment: "No harm, no foul."
