Hi,

One of my clients want to be able to view Access and Gantt chart features of MS -Project.I was exploring the possibility of using MS-Project for the entire thing instead. One basic question that came to me is this - can one project file be accessed by multi-users at the same time? (like MS-Access front end?) Thanks...Priya:confused:

Unfortunately no :( if it's a single file only one person can edit it at a time, you could use the track changes option to manage the information being updated or depending on the scale of the project you might want to consider SharePoint which is designed to be an online collaboration tool. You can get it free with MS Server iirc

I cant think of any way around this and after all this is one of the best features of a database ;)

Or you would need to use Project Server.

Hi All,

Thanks for this information...this will prevent me going down the wrong track!.
We will be moving to Sharepoint within the next six months - probably would try then.
Thanks again,
PH:D
