More on tab colors

I below that someone was trying to color their tabs and he used Background color = transparent. However, once my tabs are selected, my options to select background colors are no longer there--I can only select a color for the main form, not the tabs. I don't want it to be fancy--I just want to be able to do something other than default gray. How can I fix this?

Thanks. I guess I'll stop spending so much energy on it. I've seen forms that do have the tabs formatted, and I saw a post below in which someone said he got the tabs to be green, so I thought I could do it easily.
