Moto Z4 lost dialer

I just recently had to buy a new phone (Moto Z4) about 2 hours ago I lost my dial pad. It will dial out numbers in my contact list, but I can't dial a number. I have just spent over an hour checking the setting and googling and can't find how to get my dialing pad back. When I hit the phone icon it brings up my contact list. A option for recents calls, an option for favorites, and an option for new entery, but no dialing pad. Any help would be appreciated.

Just came back from Verizon store. Here is the answer. My new Moto Z4 has a “where you been” memory. Since the last time I used the Phone App I used the contact list, it went back to the contact list again. For some strange reason Motorola did not put a dialer icon on contact list view. By choosing recent call option it will not only list recent calls but also a dialer icon. CASE CLOSED
