Okay, I know how to make the mouse an hourglass, on the MouseDown event. How do I get it back to the arrow when my process is complete?

The simple way is to use the Hourglass Method like this...
DoCmd.Hourglass True 'turns it on
'your code here
DoCmd.Hourglass Flase 'turns it off
