Movable fields

What I would like to do is move some fields up on the form (when other fields above are hidden) and then have them move down when the other fields become visible.

The hidden fields are based on 'Current' and then show on entry in a specific field 'After Update'

I am a new user to Access and thank all those experienced user who take the time to help.

Are you sure you want to do this? Location/position is one of the various UI-clues that people assimilate quickly, so controls moving around are more likely to confuse than help, IMHO.

Perhaps you want to logically lay out your controls using a Tab control to accomplish this? Let's see exactly what you've got.

What I have is a large gap when fields are hidden.

Have you considered setting IrrelevantControl.Enabled=False?

You're going to make life difficult for yourself. What if at a latter stage you want to add some more controls below which would stay visible throughout (like your options frame), how would you manage that? For us it's easy to do but for you it will be a nightmare.

I would advise you use spikepl's method or move those controls to a page on a Tab control and hide/unhide that tab as a whole.

The options frames I do not want to move. What I would like to do is move the CPH graduate frames (they are positioned directly above the option frames) to the bottom of the upper list of fields when activated. Right now there is a big space when they become visible due to the MPH frames being in between and invisible until called. If I use the setting IrrelevantControl.Enabled=False where do I put it. I would assume under the fields I want moved in after Update?
