It is a whole reporting tool, which is available via a web browser and is very similar to Crystal Reports (although I prefer Crystal myself but we won't go into that right now).

I am looking at the link you sent me but let me explain the thing here..

I want to know about what is crystal reports and MS Sql reporting services as that is required to know if I want to get a job? I have already started study on that but bit confused as I really dont know about the reporting services at all!!! I used to work with excel and create tables and charts .. is this a part of reporting services!!

No, SQL Server Reporting Services is a tool that comes with SQL Server and is installed as a separate service (it can be on the same server as SQL Server, but may not be in order to enhance performance of both).

It is kind of hard to describe without you actually going in and working with it.

Thats fine if its hard to explain but I am getting a little bit of knowledge right now... and I appreciate that. Sorry but if you dont mind I will keep asking you few questions because for me its pretty confusing going on to website and look for same thing but with different definitions.
I have downloaded the crystal reports 2008 at home for 30day trial.. It seems like it is the same excel reports ? M I Correct!!

Definitely not the same. It could be SIMILAR but Crystal Reports is way more powerful than Excel Reports. It also has some other nuances that are not necessarily visible. Like the fact that you can create your own groupings for data even if it doesn't have groupings in the data.

You'll probably have to do a Google Search to find online materials for that. I don't know of any at the moment. I do, however, think that this book is awesome for Crystal Reports (I had our company buy one for me when I got there - a couple of years ago - and a couple of companies ago):
