Hi All

I am able to create a multiple items form that is based on a table. The data is displayed in table style format on the form.

But Access automatically creates this for me.

I would like to know how i am able to do this manually from design view? Do i need to use grouping of some sort?

Thanks

Sounds like you want a form in datasheet view. I prefer continuous, but either will display multiple records.

Hi,

So how do i manually create one? do i need to group items together?

Personally, I almost always will start a form using the form wizard and then go modify it to what I want. I like not having to do all of the work involved. But if you want to do it totally from scratch, you can go to the database window (pre-2007) and go to Forms > create new > Blank Form. In 2007 go to the Create tab and then to BLANK FORM in the Forms group.

Bob,

Thanks for the reply, but i dont think you understand my intention.

I am trying to create a continous form based on my table.

I want to know how create a continous form i.e. i only one text box on my form in design view, but when i press 'Form View' all the record will show for that particular column.

Hope this makes sence

Start a new form. In its properties, set the Record Source to your table/query. Set the Default View to Continuous. Add a textbox to the detail section. In the properties of the textbox, set the Control Source to the appropriate field in the table. Reduce the detail section's size to tall enough to fit the textbox. Save the form. Open the form.
