My name is John. I have been working with MS Access for 20 years or so. I build little data bases to help my co-workers out when IT can't afford to do it. Some of my DB's have been around for years and are still being used.
I am asked to create and manage DB's three or four times a year. A lot of the work my data bases do revolves around metrics that cannot be supplied by our major software systems.
I am currently working on a project that requires things I have not done before...I will have questions for the group. I do use VBA and know a little about it but sometimes I can't figure out how to put it all together. I am not a professional programmer. I guess you would call me a "hunt and peck" programmer.
My start with computers was when I was in the military...a long time ago. At that time I would program in "machine language". Does anyone remember those days or am I out dating myself.
That should do it for now. OH! I live in the north west about 40 miles south of Seattle, WA.
