You are correct! Look at the property sheet for the Detail Section on the Format tab. Change the AlternateBackColor to anything but NoColor. That seems to resolve this particular issue. I do not know if that is by design or not without doing a little more research.

thanks, yeah i changed mine to "alternate row" and it is working fine now... strange... though i guess there are situations where you would want it to become transparent. I dont know, thanks for your help though
