Need Advice if this is possible

I am doing a database for this karate studio, they want the database to be able to be linked up to a keypad so when the student punches in their karate membership #, the database will bring up their information. Do you think VBA will be necessary? OR if this possible. Thanks so much...Michelle

The Orders.mdb sample database (comes with Access) has an example of how to do this. You can enter a customer name and all the customer information pops up on the order form.

I make subforms with my databases, that is no problem..I was just trying to figure out how a keypad would work with a database how it links up together or is there some keypad that is specifically made for this function. Thanks for your help!!!...Michelle
