Hi,

I am a new user to access 2007. I am trying to create a phone field in a table using the design view and select the ... button but sadly I can;t see any phone number rather than password and dates.

May I know how am I suppose to create a new phone like (000)-000 000?

Well, I do have read some of the tutorial and follow the steps but I still cannot find any phone number mode.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks.

Should still be there, anyhow try this:

If you want too save with mask:
\(000")-"000\ 000;0;_

If you want to save only the raw text:

\(000")-"000\ 000;;_

Hi JANR,

Yes, I do understand the phone number field is text. Can I clarify from your reply, are you trying to say I need to key in onto the Input Mask field rather than the wizard?

Thanks

Yes, just copy and paste the stingexpression into the inputmask property.

Go to the properties of the textbox and click on the wizard [...] against the Input mask property and select Phone Number form the list.

Thank you JR, I saw the solution.

Appreciated.

Hi DCrake,

I do click on the wizard ... but there is no Phone Number or even Security Number inside the wizard.

I guess, I have to type manually on the Inout Mask propertise...

Anyway, I hope there is a way to add into the wizard like those tutorial in access 2007.

Thanks

Hi DCrake,

Perhaps you need to see my wizard here, there are none of them inside.

What should I do if I cannot have a complete wizard like yours?

Thanks.
