My son is working on an Access project. He wants to make an enquiry of more than 300 criteria.
Is there a limit on the # of criteria per enquiry ? What is the right approach? Query by Form ok ?
Need some advice, as I'm new to Access.
thanks.

It depends on if you really mean 300 criteria or 300 fields. Either way, it is a lot of data to process. I cannot say it is not possible but I would be wondering why that many fields / criteria need to be examined at once. Give us a little more detail on the project and the info to be collected / analysed and it may reveal more effective ways to approach the problem.

I think you're stuck here mate.

I might be wrong cause I have to honestly say I have never used so many criteria in a single query but I don think you can have more than 255 criteria per query..........but that said maybe you can split it up into two or three queries.

And a form is definately the best way to go with inputting any parameter criteria......unless they're static criteria in which case just enter them in the design view of the criteria
