Question Need some help

Hello, i usually dont need help, but im really stumped now and i want some help with my project.

The deal is, i need to make an easy database, like imdb, i have to have like 5 movies and actors and so on, its not really that much, but i dont really know where to start, i would like 10 minutes of someones time to just help me get started. I really wanna succeed and make this database good, so i would really apriciate if someone would give me some of their time, this might be "too easy" for you to help, but it wont take long for someone good to just get me in the right way!

All that seems a little bit to advanced, currently im doing one of the first projects in school, and i need some really basic help, and would like to just talk to someone. Also theres this problem that i have MSAccess in swedish, and its kinda hard to read and translate all that text, it would be easier if i could talk to someone, it would take 10 minutes or something. If as you intimated in your OP you are looking for someone to do your assignment for you, you've come to the wrong place.

However you will get plenty of assistance if you let us know what you have done, and where you are currently stuck.

Well, i was afraid that it would seem like i would ask someone to do my assignment for me, but that is not the case. I to post alot on another forum where i help people with my proffession, and i do know how its like when someone asks me to do their work, but as i said this is not the case.

I just want some help on where to start by someone, if they had some time, but i suppose ill listen to you and try to explain my problems right here instead, and maybe someone feel like they want to help further.

My assignment is to make a Database about some movies, actors, the roles the actors play, and other people like directors, and to the hard part, i have to be able to rate the movies from 1-10.

Ive recently done a booklibrary in Access, and i thought it would be kinda similar, but either i have total braincollapse or this is much harder.

I dont even know where to start. I do realize i have to make relations, and some forms to fill in all the appropriate data to the tables, but now im stuck, i dont know what to relate to be able to rate the movies and how to make some good forms.

This probably sounds really confusing and bad written, and thats why i wanted some personal help, i think it might be easier. Also, if theres something i can do for the person that helps me, i will help, im sure theres something someone needs.

You'll need a minimum of three tables, One for actor details, One for the films and junction table to record the relationships between actors and various films. As each actor will be in numerous films and each film will have numerous actors involved.

Thank you for the reply. But in my assignment i got some points towards what tables to do, and they said i need 5 tables. 1. Movies 2.People 3. Participators 4. Ratings 5. Roles

First of all, i dont know how to relate those to be able to see who was in what movie and so on.

Also the assignment said that i have to put in 3 movies. 4 people and 6 Participators posts or what its called in english, the vertical fields of a table.

What fields (The horizontal fields of the table) DO i have to add to be able to relate them, and then eventually be able to rate the movies.

So far i added Title and year for movies. 4 different persons to the person table. And now i dont know what to add to the Ratings to be able to rate them with a Question later on.
