Hi Everyone,

How can we disable the right click option on a loaded form.
I dont want the user to right click and go to design view.

Actually as the user clicks on the database, i am prompting a Login screen and after validating the user will be allowed to see other options.

But now the user is able to right click on the login form. which i want to prevent..
So can anyone help me with this.
Thanks in advance

I set the ShortCut Menu to No but the right click still allows design of a form.

Bill,

I tested this. I'm using Access 2007 and when I look at a form in design view, I open the property sheet to the Other tab. Shortcut Menu is about halfway down the list. When I set it to Yes, the right click shortcut menu works on the form. When I set it to No, the right click shortcut menu does not work on the form.

It's a form property so the setting is only good for that form. If another form is opened, it's properties are in charge while the focus is on that form. The form property setting has no effect on things outside of the form, such as the nav bar, menu, or ribbon. Maybe you right-clicked on a form name in the nav bar? That would allow you to go to design view, even on the form that the shortcut menu turned off. Tina would need to make sure she hides the nav bar and ribbon too!

If you don't want people messing with your form, the best thing to do is save the db as an accde
