Need to Display name not the ID

when i run the reports after using the combo box on my form, i don't get the result i am looking for: the combo box looks to a table i have but instead of displaying the Machine name it displays the Machine ID.


=[Forms]![Filter_By_Machine]![Combo0]


however on my form it displays the Name and not the ID

Try:

=[Forms]![Filter_By_Machine]![Combo0].[Column].(1)

but if i used the above i got a dot error

so i changed it to

=[Forms]![Filter_By_Machine]![Combo0].[Column](1)

I have the same problem with one of my reports. I have read the previous comments but, don't fully understand them. plesae could you give me some more details on how to solve this problem?
