need to place "0" in front of all records

can someone tell be how I can place a "0" in front of all records in a text field ('lon').

I tried to update to:

Right$([lon],Len([lon])+"0")

in an update query - i didn't get an error but it did not add a "0" to the beginning of the records.

any ideas - thanks
