Need to Save Twice??

hi all

When i am mucking around with code and forms and reports etc - usually across the network, when i click on the save button, sometimes (only sometimes), it does not appear to save the changes. when i click on it again, it does save.

I notice this happening when i have changed more than one form/report/module because on the second click it comes up with the list of things to save, but not on the first.

is this a network thing, a heirarchical clicking regime (first click for this form..., second click for all open forms...), an abberration or what???

If you are attempting to modify objects in a shared db with more than one user logged in, A2K and newer will discard some changes without even telling you. NEVER change objects in a db when it might be opened by someone else a the same time.

You should also be aware that Access does not necessarily write changes to disk immediately. It waits for a "free" moment. Only data is saved immediately.
