What does it mean when you get a msg like this?

"Error accessing file. Network connection may have been lost."

What happen is I copied a form naming it differently, but they are exactly the same. Now it's completely screwed up. Anyway to fix it?

Well I was able to find some information on fixing this problem. However, since I had not done much work on the form&module I just deleted it. Now everytime I try to cut & paste and use that same form name it screws up and is not visible and goes somewhere I don't know. I don't have a problem redoing the form from scratch, but I'm just wondering if there is some clutter in the background of the db that I don't know about. I don't want it to slow things down. Anyone know if there is a way to clean it up?

This One's A Killer

This problem can be created even if you copy code from one form or module to another within the database.

For example, I wrote some code on a command button that I wanted to use on another button in another form. I thought that made sense.

Now I am recreating several dozen forms -- my own fault for not having a valid back up.

I have searched in vain for the "uncompile switch" as mentioned in this forum, but it doesn't appear to exist.

This is a known issue with Micrsoft and addressed by SP 3 for Office 2000. Other work arounds exist and you can read all about it in the Microsoft TechNet knowledge base, article, #304548.
