Hi everyone,

I am a  member and I have tried to search here for an answer to my query before I posted. I have little access experience though I am currently undergoing an online course!!

Here is what I want to do:-

I am starting a new job soon and I will be responsible for a team of about 10 people. We deals with queries etc..

I want to build a database which will contain each member of the teams details and their current work. I want to be able to create new queries and allocate them to the members on the team.

After a certain period of time I want an email sent to me from the database reminding me that one of the team needs to address something outstanding.....

I also want to be able to add pdf files to the queries.

I know this probably was address more than once here but I think its my lack of knowledge which is letting me down. I am probable making it sound more difficult than it is.

Any advice at all would be grateful or even a link to software which I could Tailor to my needs (changing logos etc) I would appreciate.

I also want to have a professional front end linked to the db....

Thanks all,

Dathaii :banghead:

There is plenty ready and tested software out there for managing issues, bugs, customer helpdesks, CRM, scheduling work, team management, follow up etc etc. You would have to spend some time on Google with your specific requirements rather than this forum.

Developing something yourself can sometimes be justified by some unique needs, but if you don't have any, then your time and money is better spent on googling for something suitable which is already working. You could google using some of the terms I provided at the top. IN wikipedia there are some overview articles on helpdesks. Also, there are finished templates for Access at Microsoft. Google "Access templates"

Thanks Spikepl,

I thought the same to be honest but I searched google and I couldn't find anything. I will go back with the topics you have mentioned and hopefully come across something which I can use.

I ma not looking for anything over the top, just a simple programme to allow me keep on top of things.....

Thanks for the help,:)
