I have used Access on and off for many years. I have done a couple of projects that required using SQL, but I've not programmed in Access enough to become proficient.
I'm here to learn and check out the feasibility of using Access to solve problems or provide the data handling tools I want before I send requests to the IT department. I hope this will save time and improve my ability to communicate what I want to achieve by using database applications.
Personal Stuff: I've been a career firefighter for 23 years. This is my 5th year in an administrative position. Prior to making firefighting my career I was a pastor for 10 years and served as a voluteer firefighter in my community.
I've been married for 36 years and have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. Being a grandparent makes the effort of being a parent seem to have been a very worthwhile endeavor.
I like woodworking and fiddling around with mechanical things, reading, writing, video editing, and taking long driving trips with my wife.
