I am new to access and have little experience working with it . Yes reading through text books and other tutorials are the very steps to acquaint to it , but as a self-starter help from forums of this sort is a real companion to experience the power of Access .More important when you are designing your very first project in Access.
Mine is a project regarding managing ship operations. Ships calling to the harbour are provided a number of services like suply of fuel, food , administrative support for seeking clearances, organising crew changes , suply of water etc. An agency fee is claimed. All is manual , I want to computerise the opeartions from issuing the quotations, raising of proforma invoice after acceptance of quoations, record receipt of funds, record the various operations carried out, accumulate invoices for each type of operation , prepare a final remittance to the ship owner ( the remitance with summarise sum received fron ship owners and payments made for services and balance left to be returned). My first problem is how to handle several quotations for a same ship when a first quoatation is not accepted. I cannot concieve how to handled this in access
Can someone help me . If 1st Quoataion in JB001 , the revised one would be JB001V2 , JB001V3 until accepted by the client
