Hi,

I am sorry to bother you. I am a new Access user and have a few questions on forms.

1. I want to know if I can have a combo box that drops down colors, (i.e. red, yellow, gree) and if this is possible how do i do it?

2. I was also want to add a field to one of my forms called update date. I only want the date updated if the form is saved though.

3. How do I put a toggle box ona form to take me to another form. Can I link forms like this?

4. Lastly I want to put something like this in one of my forms is it possible: It is almost like a table?

I can help you with some of this.

1. Go to the design view of your form. Make sure the Control Wizards button is "on" (this is a button in the tool box . . . has a wand on it). Click on the Combo Box button (toolbox) Click on your form where you would like the combo box and follow the wizard . . . at some point it will ask you if you want to type in values or look up values from table. Choose type in and type in red, green etc. . .

2. Need more info. If you update a record from a form, when you close the form, or go to a new record it automatically saves all updated info.

3. From design view of form, make sure Control Wizards are on and click on Command Button. Click on form where you want button to be and follow wizard. You can choose Form Operations and choose to open another form with the button.

4. It sounds like you want a subform here. Again, need more info. I suggest reading about subforms and datasheet view.
