Hi,

Recently I have taken over for a company where the individual was the only person that was the DB Analyst/Programmer and they just up and quit. I have no documentation nor a USER ID/PW.

Is there some way to get into the program as the admin without knowing this? Or is this something that I will have to go to IT for to somehow find this information.

Thanks

Sometimes holding shift down while you double-click and open the database can circumvent basic protections. Dunno if it will work, but it's worth a try.

If the db is really secured with an Access workgroup and permissions then you will have to pay to have the protection broken. Search around for their are postings listing sites that offer their services for a fee.

To check if the db is really secured with a workgroup you should open a new db and see if you can import any objects from the db in question into the new db.

Also, ensure that your computer is not joined to a custom workgroup [if you are using a hand-me-down PC].
