Newb Needs Help with intergrating scanner in to inventory DB

I have scanner (Unitech MS335-1G) and my end goal is to scan a product number bar code on a box into a field on a form. Then from what is scanned into the box run a query on another table that has all the info on the product. Then populate other fields on the form. Is this possible? I'm very new to access and so far i know i need a table to run the query against for the product number and info i need to display. Any help beyond this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. :):):)
 
"Any help" is an open-ended quagmire :D

So say what you are stuck on - specifically. If unable to do so, then do a tutorial on Access tables, queries and forms (best 1 hour you can spend) , and then you should know what to ask about.
 
@mgillespie21234 ....Yeah you can do that . I created a similar kind of database for my work. First create a table with Product name and Product barcode , Product barcode you can use Activex Controls add-in I guess, I used this BarCodeWiz_BC_ActiveX_Trial ..So your product barcode in table will be number like 123456789011 and the product you have in hand will have the respective barcode to scan that..

Usually when you connect a scanner to a computer and scan a product you will have the numbers coming on the screen . The similar way you should have a textbox created in access where the barcode will show up..
