Newbie having trouble with querying a memo

Like the title says...I appreciate any help I could get here is the scenerio...

I have a table that has 3 colums
ID (primary key)
name (text box)
Comments (memo box)

I have created a form to input the information into the table.

now I am making querys to retrive the data.

In design view I have put [chose a name] in the criteria block under the name column....works fine! I get a nice pop up type the name and it shows me the entry(s) for that name.

However when I put [search words] in the criteria block of the comments block I run into trouble. I get a nice pop up asking for search words but no matter what I type thier I get no results!!! I am trying to search all the memos for keywords and I need to be able to pick the keywords on the fly not from a list.

can this be done and if so what am I doing wrong....thanks again in advance for any help

The reason you are not getting a result is it is searching the field comments for exactly what you typed and nothing else. You will need to use wildcards in order to get the search (*). I would think you could use this in the criteria field:

Like "*"&[Enter search word]&"*"

I think you can only use one word to search with though. Not sure though. Hope this helps.
