Hello, Everyone! I am new to this forum but have been studying Access 2010 for about 3 months. It is difficult for me, but I am sticking with it! I am middle aged (I plan to live well over 100 years...LOL), and returning to college to finally complete a degree in Business Management.

Right now I am having difficulty with an advanced report. The instructions were to make a report with info from a table, which I was able to do. However, it now wants me to add a column between facility name and phone #, which will combine contact first name and contact last name.

SO I figure I need expression builder, right? okay, my expression is
[tblManagement] [contact first name] & [space1] & [contact last name]
but when I got to report view, it asks for a parameter value...don't know what that is.

If you have any ideas, please post. I really need to finish this assignment & i will be eternally grateful!

Happy Accessing...
Patti

Try this and I am assuming that both fields are in the table called tblManagement

[tblManagement].[contact first name] & " "& [tblManagement].[contact last name]

Note the periods between the table name and the field name. Also note that there is a space between the two quote marks.

Good luck with your project.
