Prior Time / Date

Hello All

I currently have a textbox [Low Water] which I want to look up the closest date prior to another date [Dep Date] displayed on the form.

i.e. The table contains the low water tide times for each day and the date the user selects on the form [Dep Date] would determine which time would be displayed in [Low Water]

I don't know if this will work, but it should at least give you something to think about.

First off...I don't know why your first statement says that you're checking to find the closest date field, [DepDate], using a text field called [LowWater]. You need to compare fields of the same type.
Then you can use something like:
Select Max([LowWaterDate]) from [tblTides] where [DepDate] < Date())
in your unbound[LowWater] display field.
