No Control Tip or Status Bar text on subform?

I have added control tip text and status bar text on the properties of the fields of a subform but it doesn't show up. Any ideas why? Doesn't it work on a subform?

I have already asked a similar question (on 19th) ... In Access 2002, (and '97) I can get the control tip text but my business partner does not. So far I have not found the solution! Not much help I know, but it does appear to be a problem.

I am aware that this was a problem with Access 2000, but this was supposed to have been corrected in Access 2002.

If you find the solution Iwould be interested to know what it is.
