Hi

Using Access 2003. I have one PC from about 300 that when I open up the database and click on any Report, they will not open.

Any ideas?

Many Thanks

Sounds strange to me. My first inclinations are:

1. If they have opened the database and it isn't read-only (they can enter data) then they have the proper rights
2. If the database isn't secured with Access security, and this happens on only one machine, I would explore the possibility that reinstalling Access might be something to try.

When I have user experiancing this issue it is usually due to the printer. What kind of printer are the connected to? Try changing the default printer and see if the reports open.

The printer wouldn't happen to be a HP4200?

ah, printer - that's right - I forgot to ask about that one. They need to have a default printer assigned.

Actually the reason I mentioned the printer is that I have users that print to a HP4200 printer and every so often they will not be able to open reports if the HP4200 is the default printer. Usually I would have the Printer Driver reinstalled and that will fix the problem. But I also found out if I go into the Printer Properties and set the print quality to 600 and then change the print quality back to 1200 the users can view the reports agian.

I was aware that sometimes it could be the default printer, this wasn't the case in this instance. Thanks.

Although its still not clear why, it wasn't the PC it was the individual user, the user in question had multiple profiles. Once these multiple profiles were deleted. It worked.

Thanks, again.

Thanks for posting back with the resolution to your problem.
