Hi,

I don't have really nice experience in Access, i will show my problem and pls help me if u can.

I have a MS Access 2000 database, i need to move few tables from this enviorement to an Oracle DB (only few Tables with many records inside), my boss told me about the possibility of create some plain text files with separators and import those files into Oracle using SQLLOADER, and my problem is find the mode of create this files by an automation... could be using a Macro?

Where can i find information about this kind of macro?
Any other idea?

The problem is the persistent period of this procedure (every 15 days) avoid the use of manual loading :S

Thx in advice.

I think you need to learn how to export from Access. Select the table or query in the database window that you need to export, go to the File menu and select Export. A wizard will kick in and guide you throught the process.

Once you are able to export your data in such a way that your import to Oracle works, then I would consider automating the process.

It might be worth changing where you hold your data. Access can link to Oracle tables and this may be a better solution than importing and exporting from Access data tables.

Yap

How is possible to make that link?

I mean, I was checking the possibility of export data using Exported delimited text file, because my boss want this data in Oracle enviorement...

Could be solved like that?

Thx for fast answer :D

You can link to Oracle using ODBC. I can't tell you exactly how this is done because our Oracle DBAs do it for me.
