For my own database which i created in Access i have something called a mutation date. so when i changed something i typed the date of that day.
Now i want that to go automaticly. How do i do that???
It would be great if someone could help me with that. Once there's something changed in the record i need to make the date of that record changed.
Hope u can Help me

i use something similar in one of my dbs, only i do it the old fashioned way ( macro )
there are much smarter people than me who can provide you with the vba code but assuming you are using a form to populate your change date you can setup a macro using the 'set value' action. in 'item' use [Forms]![Edit Supply Chain Form]![Edited Record] ( replacing the name of the form and field with your actual names. Then in the expression type 'Date()'
Next, go to the field(s) where the data is being changed and apply the macro to that field(s) 'on change' property
Hope this helps

Like i said i am a big noob so can u please explain it step by step..
Thanks

Firstly am i correct in my assumption that you are using a form where your date is being changed / displayed ?

I have an Exel File imported in my access form and the vb code atm is

Private Sub Mutatiedatum_AfterUpdate()

UPDATE
SET lastUpdate=NOW()

End Sub

Does that help?

Sorry Silverblood, VBA is an alien concept to me . Have to pass on this one , i'm sure you will recieve the answer your are looking for soon.
