ok, i'm not sure if i need to write a macro or event procedure for this (reaches for the dunces cap)

i got a database and every record has a hyperlink field pointing to a file on my disk. when i use the search i got it shows multiple results and i cant use the hyperlink (as it highlights the whole record), so................. is it possible to use the [On dblClick] to so that when the record is selected it uses the link in that record?

any help would be most appreciated, thanks
