I've gt a form with a combo box. On the combo box, I've got code for adding a record into the combo box that pulls up another form solely for the purpose of adding a record. At the end of my little routine, I get that "The text you entered isn't an item on the list" message, which I don't really want to get.

How in blazes do I get away from that message???? I've looked here and on some other forums, and looked onto Microsoft's site and am no further alon than I was 4 hours ago.

Incidentally, I'm runnning Access 97.

Thanks to all of you in advance! :confused:

Set the response parameter of the notinlist event procedure. To get rid of the message:

response=acdataerrcontinue

Thanks for your reply. I already had that in my code, and still got the message. :confused:
