I reloaded Office 2000 and after that all nubers from my text boxes in reports have disappeared. Comma seperator for currency type data is visible, but for some strange reason beyond my comprehension, the numbers refuse to make themselves visible. Help.

I assume your text boxes are bound to underlying queries or expressions based on table values. Check the underlying queries first, then the field controls.

There is no problem at all with the underlying query on which the report is based. I am totally perplexed!

Just a thought. I had a customer a couple of years ago that had installed a db on a computer and kept telling me that certain things weren't showing up. They sent the program back to me and it worked fine on my machine. In the end, they figured out that particular machine had some sort of strange color theme set up and it was using some of the same colors for foreground and background and so some things 'disappeared'. I can't remember if it was a windows setting or Access setting or what, but it is something you could look into. Other than that, I don't have a clue what it might be.

Still no joy. However, when I publish the report with MS Word, there is absolutely no problem! What setting should I tweak with in Access?

The only color settings I can see that might have the effect I'm talking about (and I really don't remember the details of what happened), are under Tools>Options and either the Datasheet or Pages tab.

Open the report in design view, click on one of the affected controls, open the property sheet, what is the fore color of the control?

Fore color is 0 and back color is 16777215. I changed the fore color to blue but again only the comma seperator and the currency symbol are visible, but not the numbers!

Missing Numbers

Snap! Have experienced exactly the same problem i.e. figures not displaying in Access 2000 reports, only commas, decimal points etc. This is on one particular user's computer - the database is fine on mine and other PC's. Have so far not discovered why.

If anyone fionds an answer please can they post it, as I have just come across the same problem.
Thanks

Just to re-iterate. The issue is not in a single control. The effect is report wide, with no number characters appearing. So a date "23rd October 2005" becomes "rd October". This can't be a font issue but is soemthing to do with the PC display settings for the printer. Remember the report is in Print Preview and if exported to word or Excel the numbers magically re-appear!!

Still looking for an answer.

I am also having this problem, some fields are showing and some are not, this is all on the same record and when I click to view the next page of the report it will not show the data.

I have checked the query and the tables and there is nothing wrong with them.
