The situation:
We have a split Front end back end database which is used to raise Technical Requests on our design engineers, approx 30 users, some are management. I have created a method that uses MS Project so the managers can easily see via a Gantt chart what his team has on and how to plan who gets what TR.
The problem:
The database uses a reference to Microsoft Project 12.0 Object Library, not all users have MS Project, for those that do the database runs fine but for those that don’t some reports don’t behave i.e. the date won’t show in a text box, the code for the text box control source is “=Data()” simple as that. The conditional formatting also works of the date to show if the TR is late or is nearing its due date and that’s not working also.
The question?
Is there something I need to do or some way I can keep the reference to the Microsoft Project 12.0 Object Library so the engineers without MS Project can still use the database without these issues?
Thanks
