ODBC Failed

i am using access as a front end to SQL Server 2005 and link tables via ODBC.

Today when I run a query (normally works fine) I receive an ODBC Failed message box. I have tried opening each link table connected to the query and can open fine.

can anyone suggest other reasonf or this failure?

i cant but i always get this (i put it down to accessing db's in design mode over a poorly maintained network) and what i do is copy the sql of the offending statement, delete it and then copy that sql into a new blank statement.

yeah i know, not really a solution when it's happening regularly or with multiple queries.

a compact and repair always helps too

I usually relink tables involved and it always helps.
