The Dems are truly being shortsighted with this importing the impoverished of the world. What they import changes what we are and when you import Muslims who always insist on Shariah law which is totally incompatible with our Western values or Marxists or Communists, which the rest of the impoverished come from, they bring their bad stuff with them because that is all they know.

I once got free stuff from the government. I seriously considered sending the check back but screw it. I don't remember what prompted the check but it was during the many years when I was self employed and so had no W2 income. I actually had a pretty large income that year but it was K1 rather than W2.

I got unemployment for about 5 months once, but I figured, that's different than the dole, per se. We tried to get SNAP during that time but were denied as soon as they saw an able bodied white man, they had it out for me from the start during the in person interview, asking me weird questions and just opposed from the get-go. Everyone else in the line was hispanic or black and I was the only white person - quick denial.
Sorry to anyone this might offend, but anti white discrimination is pretty real, so just stating facts.

Facts are facts and you are correct. White people, especially men are discriminated against. My daughter ran up against a hard wall also when the twins were applying for aid for college. As a single mother of twins, it is pretty hard to cover two tuitions at once. The girls got some grants but it was the banks of Mommy and Grandma who covered most of the cost. Plus they worked summers and after school jobs in the winter so they came out with no debt. Living at home and going to a commutable state school helped. But tuition was still ridiculous.

That's a major part of how I graduated with my PhD without massive debt. The other part included playing music on Bourbon Street in New Orleans to entertain folks - from curious tourists to drunken denizens. The only negative part of that was a non-existent social life.
