One more newb question.....

ok...i have the combo box selecting and previewing with this command line......

DoCmd.OpenReport "Account Information", acViewPreview, , "[SubAcct] = " & Me.select

now i want another combo box to throw up a form so i can edit the account information i tried this but it kept thowing up a blank form w/out the users information for the account I selected.

DoCmd.OpenForm "Information", , , "[SubAcct] = " & Me.select1



Any Ideas??

Do you have the form "Infomation" Data Entry property set to Yes? When you say "blank" do you mean empty controls or a blank form with nothing showing?

Well the form comes up empty....all fields are blank, but I want it to pull up whatever account I have selected in my combo....and yes I have the data field for the "Information" Form set to yes.

With the Data Entry property set to Yes the form opens expecting you to enter data so it is at a new record. Change Data Entry to No and you form should work as you want.
