Originally, I had the dependent table set up like this:
EmployeeCode Dep1FirstName Dep1LastName Dep1SSN Dep1DOB Dep1Medical Dep1Dental Dep1Vision Dep2FirstName Dep2LastName Dep2SSN Dep2DOB Dep2Medical Dep2Dental Dep2Vision
But after reading a chapter on normalizing the data and I decided it’s better to do this instead for this particular table:
DepCode EmployeeCode DepFirstName DepLastName DepSSN DepDOB DepMedical DepDental DepVision
My goal is to generate a report that I can give to each employee showing the details of their benefits package.
When I generate the report, it will duplicate the # of report for one employee based on the # of dependents that employees has. How can I generate the report so it will list all of the dependents together in one report?
For an example, if you have 2 children including your husband and you just have the basic benefit package of Medical, Dental, and Vision. I would have 3 reports on you like this below:
