1) what can i do in order to get a form to open when a database is loaded?

Goto Tools -> Startup and select the form to open on startup

I have no idea what you are referring to. Can you give/quote the source where you heard about it?

to be honest im not sure about it at all. it figures in my syllabus, but other than that im clueless.

Maybe it refers to Autonumber - the best field "type" when creating a unique primary key for your tables.

hmm, i hope its that since ive used that alot. the sentance in which it features is "effective use of validation and of automatic counter". so i guess it could be autonumber, as that is a way of validating unique identifiers.
