Im new to Access 2007 and am trying to create a form that opens on startup and then displays in the middle of the screen without seeing the database.

How do i do it?

Thanks

Click on the "Office" button (the big round one at the upper left of Access) and then click on the "Option" option.

Click on the "Current Database" option and select the form you want displayed at startup from the "Display form" combo box.

You can optionally uncheck the "Display Navigation Pane" option to hide the Navigation Pane when the database opens. You can also uncheck the "User Access Special Keys" option. If desired you can uncheck the "Allow Full Menus" and "Allow Default Shortcut Menus" options.

You will need to close and reopen your database to have these changes take affect.

If you need more control over what is displayed when your form opens you many need to user VBA code for that.

Done all that but can still see the menu bar at the top of the form.

The form is also full screen and I need it to resize and display in the middle

Seems that I forgot to mention changing the "Document Window Options" from "Tabbed Documents" to "Overlapping Windows". This is also done in the Options dialog box and click on the "Current Database" option.

If the menu is still an issue, you may have to create a "blank" ribbon menu to replaces the existing default one.
