Open File error in Access 97

When I try to open a MS Access database, I receive the message "Runtime
error '429', ActiveX component can't create object.
This does not apply to all databases - The NorthWind database is still OK
and one or two others
created by myself. However, I have five databases which I can no longer
open.
Help would be appreciated.

Some reasons that come quickly to mind...
You may be missing an .ocx or .dll or may have one that is no longer registered, or you may be missing a license to use an ActiveX component that you once were licensed for. Or it might simply be a missing reference.

Found the solution to the problem at:

The DAO 3.5 library required to be re-registered.
