Just started working on my database again, and I've run into a seemingly simple problem with a navigation form...

I've assigned forms to my navigation buttons, but whenever I click a tab in Form View, it opens the form I want in the navigation subform AND in a new, separate window/tab (like a popup). Is there any way to prevent the additional popup?

(I feel like I'm lacking some very fundamental Access knowledge here and would appreciate any insight.)

Check your Internet Explorer Tab Options. You probably have the setting for Open links from other programs in: A New Window when it should be A new tab in the current window or The current tab or Window (likely the third option).

Thanks for responding, Bob.

I tried your suggestion, but the forms within my Navigation form are still opening up twice: once in a separate tab and then in the Navigation form itself. It automatically takes me to the new window, so would I just SetFocus to the one in the Navigation form? Either way, I'd still like to get rid of the extra windows.

Not sure how you are "opening" the forms in the navigation form. Are you using any code or macros at all? Is this a straight web database or a desktop one using the navigation form? Which browser are you using (which name and which version)?
