Opening Access database in Design View when holding down SHIFT no longer works?

I set up my databases so that F11 / Design View / etc. is disabled when someone uses it. However, I've always been able to get into the design view by holding down Shift when I double-click to open the file.

However, now I get this new warning upon opening the database that I never got before:

"Security Warning: This file may not be safe if it contains code that was intended to harm your computer. Do you want to open this file or cancel the operation?"

This warning box seems to cancel out the fact that I was holding down Shift. I get the secured front-end database, and I can't get in to modify it.

Does anyone know how to take away this warning I'm getting, and/or get into the design view a different way? This is *my* database that I need to modify! :)

Thanks in advance. Let me know if there's any other information I can provide.

You can turn off the Security warning by turning down the macro security.

I'm sorry brickelldb, I totally forgot to come back and thank you for that (it worked).

Thank you for that!

I believe if you keep holding down shift while you click it should then let you proceed - some places have issues with setting macro security to low.

This is true. I wait for the security box, then hold down the shift key, then click ok whilst keeping shift held down. Works for me :)
