Opening Access From Access

Hi,

Can anyone point me in the right direction please. I am trying to copy objects (forms, reports, queries, etc) from the current database into another (closed) database using Access.Application object. Any pointers or advice will be gratefully received

Macros can do it

The way I would do it is to open a macro and click on Transfer Database. . . save the macro and then covert it to a Module, look at the code then work from there.

Of course I am a novice so thats a novice answer, but I just recently did what you were asking about in a macro. . .

To copy stuff from one DB to another I use the Export command.

Right click on form, report or whatever you want to transfer and select export. A window then appears so you can select the DB you want to copy the object to. Once selected you will be asked for a name to call your export, and its done!
(This sends a new copy, not remove from your current project)
