Is there a way to open a form without having to open access then double clicking the form and having it come up with all the sidebars and such?

You will need to open Access. However, you can make a shortcut to the form and place the shortcut on your taskbar. On the form you could have a label or button for Close and that would have Quit run which will shut the whole data base down and return you to your previous screen.

I am not sure if this applies to Access 2007 but on the tool bar you have Tools and Startup. That allows you to select a form to automatically open when the DB is opened. Startup also allows you to hide the data base window.

So you need to open Access but you can hide the process.

As to sidebars are you referring to scroll bars or the borders of the form. If so they can be changed in form Design view.

THANKS! that helps a ton! Will get me well started.
