Happy new year everyone!

This probably isn't worth anyone's time but i am stumped and a bit annoyed...

I have just made the jump from 2003 to 2010 with a large database and am getting to grips with everything (a bit easier than expected to be honest)

However the view i am used to for database objects which lets me see all tables, forms etc in a single window has been replaced with a scrollable list of objects down the left side of the screen.

When i scroll down and stop there is a little jump as the scroll bar "refreshes/settles", what's that all about??

I am getting caught out a lot by this because i instinctively stop scrolling and double click to open the item i want BUT the little "jump" keeps causing me to open the item above the one i wanted!

Anyone else find this annoying??

Yes.

I haven't found any answer apart from patience unfortunately.

I believe there is an add-on / exe somewhere that will give you back the "traditional" database view

Edit - actually - if you sort by date created/modified it will at least list the most recent worked on things at the top...

EVERYTHING about new Access is annoying. They removed all the shortcut keystrokes that I used constantly. You cant 'window' around the open screens. Macros are much harder to read.
I HATE IT.
Thanks Microsoft.

there is nothing else to do but to go along, no turning back, otherwise you'll be left behind.
