I have been developing a database to be sold for the last year and half. I knew from reading here and else where that I would eventually need to buy the developer extensions in order to create a stand-application.

This is to allow the use of access runtime for people that do not have access on their machines.

I have now read on microsoft.com where the runtime on A2K7 maybe downloaded free of charge. See:

http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/office/bb229700.aspx

My question is this then to the forum is this. With the download now being free, what are the advantages of still using ((Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Professional) <-would this be right software?) at a cost of $800 bucks compared to upgrading to A2K7, for a few hundred? Is there something I need to know before I start the final process?

I would personal like to thank Moniker, PatHartman and Ghudson and any others that I may have missed without your knowledge to the answers to the forum, this wouldnt be possible.

Personal Note to Ghudson & Moniker - I have always tried to use the search button to find answers or comparable problems and it (search) does work.:)
