Order Balance Field not Updating Correctly?

Hello to one and all. I thought I had it all working, but alas testing has proved me wrong!

I have stripped down my DB in order to post. You are left with an Order Form and Payment Form (Tabbed).

There are various calculated fields on both forms. I made a few amendments and am now well and truly confused!

If I update the Orders Form the calculated fields work correctly. However on the Tabbed 'Payments' form the last field 'Order Balance' does not reflect these changes.

If I re-input the value '0' or make a payment then the Order Balance Field updates itself to the correct value?

There is some after update code on the 'Total' field on the Payment Form.

I am sure it is not a MAJOR problem. I just can't see it for looking.

PLEASE put me out of my misery one of you guru's.

Problem fixed

Hi Scouser.

There was a problem with the frmPayments. I deleted a line of code in the Event Procedure, After Del Confirm. It seems to work fine now.

NOT quite there

Further investigation has spotted a flaw!

On the Payments Form there the last 2 fields:
PaymentMade
OrderBalance

Both of these fields control source = tblOrders.

I need these Fileds to remain as they are as I have a query:
qryOutstandingPayments

If you change the OrderBalance field to unbound:
=[TotalGross]-[PaymentMade]
Then outstanding payments report will not work.

Any thoughts on a workaround using your solution? Or its back to my original post!!

Please go back to oroginal configution.
I found that you will update the ORDER BALANCE when you update the payment only, but not when you update the order.
I think you have to recalculate the order balance wheever you update either payment or order.
